For Optical Communication Equipment and Devices

Photonics Research Centre first established as a laser laboratory in 1979 and recognized as the national Higher Education Centre of Excellence by Ministry of Higher Education in 2014. The Optical Calibration Facility is one of the laboratories in this center, which provide calibration and test services especially for telecommunication equipment and devices.

The management of laboratories for calibration and test follows strictly to the ISO/IEC17025 requirement to ensure our customers of highest quality and most trusted services.

Calibration (SAMM ISO17025 Accredited Laboratory)

The laboratories were equipped to provide calibration for:
-    Optical time-domain reflectometer (OTDR)
-    Optical loss test sets (OLTS)
-    Optical power meter
-    Light sources

Optical Test (Wavelength Of 800-2000nm)

The laboratories also provide services for optical test on passive optical component such as:
-    Fiber optic cable
-    Fiber optic pigtail
-    Fiber optic patch chord
-    Optical splitter
