Photonics sits at the heart of many transformative technologies shaping our future, from clean energy and smart manufacturing to advanced healthcare and sustainable agriculture. At the Photonics Research Centre, we believe that light is not only a tool for discovery but also a powerful enabler for a greener, smarter, and more resilient society.

Our focus on photonics for green technology reflects a strong commitment to sustainability. Through innovations in laser systems, optical sensing, imaging, and photonic integration, we strive to develop solutions that reduce environmental impact, improve energy efficiency, and support national and global sustainability agendas.
